I have no idea where the time has gone since I last posted on here! I have so much admiration for the dedication of those people who blog on a regular basis - it is hard work.

I know from my clients and those attending my workshops that it is not just me who is noticing change around us in ways we never saw before and with messages that we can't ignore. The messages are strong, insistent and for those that listen can't be ignored any longer.

A lot of information has been jumping in front of me lately about 2012 and the change that will bring to the world. These are wide ranging and some will be the subject of upcoming posts.

I want to talk for a minute about the work of Eric Francis and his Horoscopes and his other writings on Planet Waves . For most of my life the jury was out for me regarding Astrology. I guess what I'm talking about is what most of us are familiar with - the daily Horoscope in the newspaper or online. These are for the most part entertaining and once in awhile hit fairly close to the mark.

A few weeks ago one of my friends, whose opinions I trust and respect, told me about Eric Francis and his work. it was like my head blew open. This work is amazing and will show you things about yourself and those around you in ways you never thought about before. It will explain why some of these 'crazy" things have been happening in our lives. Now I'll warn you ahead of time that most of his stuff is by subscription only, but it is worth every penny of the cost - you get more than you paid for, which if refreshing in this day and age! Having said that there is a lot of free reading available at Planet Waves and the various links contained there.

Finding Your Inner Child - Being In The Moment

I was away for ten days in the last two weeks visiting my daughter in Indiana. I spent a lot of time with our little grandsons age 2 and 3 1/2. Going on an Easter Egg Hunt, teaching them to fly kites, playing at the playground, visiting the Indianapolis Zoo and going on the roller coaster with the oldest, and visiting a Diner featured on the Food Network were some of the high-lites.

I received many lessons from these little ones. The most important one to me was being in the moment. Whatever children do, they do with complete abandon. They are completely immersed in what they are doing and truly in the moment.

When was the last time you swung on a playground swing? I had forgotten the unbelievable lightness of being you experience as you soar toward the sky. I felt the same thing as the kite string tugged at my hand, calling me to look up and see the colorful kite dancing against the blue of the sky taking my spirit with it.

Take some time for yourself as these lovely spring days unfold. Find your inner child again. Fly a kite, swing on a swing and if you think that people will look at you funny, take a child with you! If you don't have one of your own or a grandchild borrow one from a friend and have fun. Fly free and be in the moment.

Morning Thoughts

This morning I was watching birds again as they came to the feeders in the front yard. Have you ever thought of the fundamental difference between us and all other creatures on this earth? There are several, but I will only focus on one very obvious one.

Out of the vast numbers of living creatures on this earth, we are the only ones who live in an artificially constructed society. By that I mean that we are the only ones who spend almost all of our time doing and very little time simply being. We should really be called "human doings" instead of "human beings". When you look at all other creatures with the exception of the ones we have interfered with by domesticating them you see a commonality expressed. They are all really hunter - gatherers finding their daily sustenance from the world around them. They live in Harmony with the natural world. All that they need is provided.

Sure, they have to "work" at finding food and shelter, but it is there for them, free for the taking. They spend absolutely no time worrying about the economy, the latest fashions, how much their investments have dropped in value, where the DOW or the TSE closed, or any of the countless things that occupy our minds. They have no concerns about world affairs, wars or the latest bone headed decision some level of government has made which will impact them. Neither are they controlled by the decisions of others whether overtly like governments or covertly like all organizations which are into power and control exercise each moment of our existence.

Maybe it's time we took some advice from "Our Relations" in the animal worlds. Maybe it's time we spent more time being and less time doing. All we can really change is ourselves, so let's begin there. Something to think about.

Creating and Co-Creating Our Reality

Every second of every moment of every hour of every day we create our reality. We create it ourselves and we co-create it with every interaction, conversation and thought we share with others. We respond and react to them, and they to us and in the response creation occurs.

If we begin to examine the day to day occurrences that we view as our reality, and examine those occurrences in a detached and unemotional way, we will plainly see our role in the creation. If we want our daily lives to change in a way that will serve us better and move us into desired outcomes we must change the way we think and change the emotional charge we put on those thoughts.

It is both the easiest and most difficult of things to do. Change your thoughts, change your life. Your life is your choice - you created it!

Seeing Energy

I'm sitting here by a wood fire, coffee close at hand, watching the stream of birds come to the feeders. There is a Downy Woodpecker at the suet at the moment and some Red Polls and a couple of Pine Grosbeaks at the big feeder, interspersed with the odd Black Capped Chickadee doing touch and go landings and picking up one sunflower seed at a time. Less visitors today as the weather has warmed up dramatically after an unseasonable cold snap.

Energy is rising in the trees and is evidenced to me by more vibrant energy fields. I have always seen energy, and I thought I might share the basics of how to retrain yourself to "see" again. Find a big tree with vibrant energy. If you live in a northern climate like I do, at this time of year that means an evergreen. Go outside at dusk and raise your gaze a few inches above the tree. Look softly, and hold the gaze for maybe a minute or less. Then move your soft gaze to the 2 o'clock position a few inches away from the tree. Hold that for less than a minute and then raise your attention but not your eyes back to 12 o'clock. You should see a soft bluish, gray band around the branches and leaves or needles. It should be dynamic and not static. If it isn't moving you have gazed too long and created a negative image in your eye. It looks rather like heat waves rising from a pavement in the summer. What you are seeing is the energy field of the tree. It's now a simple matter to begin to see energy around everything, including your own hands. later on I'll share how to keep going with this study and begin to see colored auras. Have fun!

Recession or Not - I Choose Not

I have been busy booking workshops and doing some marketing and planning. I can't believe that it has been five days since I was last on here! I have been thinking about the seemingly deepening recession and potentially looming depression.

I think that it must be easier for people to follow the "group think" than to create their own thoughts. I'm not sure if that is nature or nurture. Do we follow along with everyone Else's views and fears because we are somehow wired for group action? Or, have we been taught that there is safety in numbers, stick together, let the government or someone else solve our problems? Either way we create the same outcome. The reason why doesn't really matter.

I said "seemingly" and "potentially on purpose". They are only potential outcomes, there is a choice. What if you and I began to think and feel differently about the current situation? What if we changed ourselves and our outcomes changed? What if other people began to entrain to our vibration, to our frequency? What if their outcomes changed?

Let's do it. Lets change our thoughts. Yoda said " No. Try not. Do... or do not. There is no try." When we say try we give permission to ourselves not to succeed. So let's not try, let's change our thoughts and feelings and change our futures.

Children Unplugged

The other morning, the breakfast radio news had a story about the record snowfall in London England. The on site reporter was interviewing people about the effects of the snow and most of them were complaining about the difficulty of travel - roads not cleared, buses and underground not running etc. The background noise in the broadcast told a different story. It was filled with the screams of joy and laughter of children as they enjoyed sliding down slopes, making snowballs and snowmen.

As I was thinking about this later in the day I realized this is a sound we don't hear very often anymore regardless of where we live, whether in a small rural town or village to the largest cities. Why is that? I think there are several reasons. One is fear. Fear of parents for the safety of their children. While not completely unwarranted, it is a fear fuelled by constant media stories of missing children and the horrific things that happen to them. Another reason could be organized sports or activities. By the time the kids are finished with practise, games, tournaments, music lessons, etc. there is no time left to play outside with their friends. Another reason and perhaps the major one is technology. Now don't get me wrong, I'm no Luddite. I use technology on a daily basis for business, research, marketing, etc. A great many children are glued to all forms of technology -TV, video, games, computers, Internet, texting, instant messaging, digital music, and the list goes on and on. They are losing the ability to communicate without some form of tech interface.

That's why we are losing the sound of children's laughter coming through our windows from the outdoors. And if we are missing that, what are the children missing? To name a few, the ability to develop relationships, fresh air, the excitement of playing an exhilarating game of some sort without an adult presence or a lot of rules, etc. The list could go on and on. You get the picture.

Probably the most important thing that is missing is the connection to the Earth. Being outside, even in the city, has a centering and calming influence. It puts us in touch with the cycles of nature and helps us to understand and connect our own rhythms to the world around us. Our world would be a better place to be if there were more sounds of laughter and play coming through our windows. It's the sound of "Children Unplugged".

Attachment to Outcome

As healers one of the most difficult things to let go of is "Attachment to Outcome". We do this work because we want to make a difference, we want to help, we want to see people move to a state of health and release their pain and suffering.

We cannot do those things for them. They have to do it for themselves. They are responsible for their own healing, their own health. All we can do is set the stage for them to succeed, create the conditions for them to heal themselves; the work of healing is theirs.

Why do some people heal and others with the same conditions do not? I think that some people are so identified with their condition and their pain that they sub consciously think that if their condition disappears so will they! They are pain and pain is them. Other people control those around them by having them answer every whim because they are so ill. Their family and loved ones tip toe around them, doing their bidding so as not to disturb them.

Each of us can only change ourselves, nothing more. But, an interesting thing happens when we change ourselves - we change our world. There really is no "Out There". It is all in here. So, when we change "In Here", "Out There" changes as well.

So, don't get trapped in attachment to outcome. That is a trap of the ego. Let it go, do your own inner work, change yourself, change your world and teach others to do the same. The outcomes will follow.

Where Has All the Money Gone?

Let me state right at the beginning that I am not an economist nor have I ever studied economics. That will probably make itself clear by my over-simplistic observations!

I am a Healer, and as such I am an observer of Energy. I'm a watcher, I always have been. When I look at at the current world wide recession some things are obvious to me and others only raise more questions. Money is really energy - I call it "Crystallized Energy of the Moment". It represents an energetic exchange and is crystallized into a tangible (currency etc.) at the time payment is made.

Once money is created or crystallized it doesn't go away. Stocks or commodities may devalue, but the money paid for them still exists somewhere. My simple logic tells me that if money doesn't disappear and more and more people have less and less, then it must follow that lesser numbers of people or institutions have more and more. Make sense?

The economy really illustrates the truth that we create our own reality. As individuals and societies become more fearful that the economy is collapsing, their thoughts become reality. They are all creating their own reality. So, if this is true then somewhere people are setting an intention that as people become fearful and the economy they know collapses, more and more money will flow to them!

We live in an Abundant Universe. Why do so many of us choose to believe in scarcity and lack? Why do we believe that life is a struggle? It's what we have been taught and we believed it. We can have anything we want. We have only to desire it, feel what having it is like and get into the flow and out of the way.

Change your thoughts and feelings and change your life. Move into abundance, move into health, move into right relationship - move into your birthright.

Ground Hog Day

Well, apparently all of the furry little weather prognosticators in Central and Eastern Canada and the USA saw their shadows this morning. Six more weeks of winter - yuck! The groundhog would have seen his shadow here as well, that is if any self respecting ground hog would poke his nose out at -23 C with a -35 C wind chill. Regardless of what these little shadow watchers tell us, in the Prairies we are normally going to get six more weeks of winter whether there are shadows or no shadows!

There is some connection between these old and limiting beliefs and how we create our reality. In the aptly titled movie, "Ground Hog Day", the day keeps repeating over and over. So it is in our lives which are created by our thoughts and our intentions and our focus. If we keep thinking negative things, reacting to things in the same way, holding ourselves in place with the same old limiting beliefs we are guaranteed to get the same old things manifesting in our lives. Change your thoughts - Change your life! It's your life and you have no limits!
